Obverse 1
The photo below shows the 1850-O Obverse 1 attribution grid. This is the only 1850-O obverse die,
so the date position is enough for attribution.

Obverse 1 Die States
- Perfect die.
- A faint die crack joins stars 7 and 8, passing through the head at eye level. A radial die crack extends from the rim to the
lower left tip of star 1, exiting the star at the upper right tip and passing through stars 2-3. The crack is very faint after
it exits star 1.
- Another radial die crack extends from the rim through the left side of the 0 in 1850 to the rock base.
No later die states have been observed.

Reverse A
The 1850-O Reverse A mintmark is high and slightly left of centered. The reverse also exhibits numerous light die lines and lumps.
Some of these are indicated by the arrows in the photo below.

Reverse A Die States
- Perfect die.
- A faint die crack extends across the bottom of ITED through the bottom of STATES.
- The die crack now extends across the bottom of OF and continues across the base of AMERICA.
No lated die states have been observed.
