Comments:
Obverse P1 was used to strike all 1852 die marriages. This is its second use to strike 1852 proof restrikes,
and fourth or fifth use overall. This is the first and only use of Reverse 1859 PA to strike 1852 proof restrikes.
It was previously used to strike regular issue proofs in 1859. It was also used to strike 1851, 1854, and 1858 proof restrikes.

Reverse 1859 PA
Reverse 1859 PA was used to strike all 1859 regular issue proofs, later to strike 1851, 1852, 1854, and 1858 proof restrikes.
This die exhibits notable marks in the left wing feathers that should be used as markers for identification. Other
markers have been mentioned in previous books, but they have led to confusion in attributions and relative rarity.
The lumps in the wing feathers are very distinctive. No other markers should be required.
