Obverse 1 exhibits an interesting repunched date. The original date is small, possibly from a quarter punch. The final date is the correct size. This repunching is expanded in the next photo. We’ve identified this interesting variety as one of our Top-30.

Obverse 1 Die States
  1. Perfect die.
  2. Light clashing visible in the field under the arm.
No later die states have been observed.


Reverse A

Reverse A displays two very faint die lines slanting sharply down in the second shield recess. These will be visible on mid- to high-grade examples.
